Quinta d'Alagoa
The Quinta D'Alagoa is surrounded by beautiful countryside in a well preserved environment. Organised around a semi-circular central yard, the farm consists of 5 main buildings and several outhouses. The old farmhouse, labourers lodgings, barn and other outhouses have been restored and adapted for agrotourism.
The wild beauty of biodiversity
Within the boundaries of the farm there are nearly 15 kilometres of paths through fields, pastures and woods through which you may choose to walk, cycle (reservation needed) or ride (from next summer). They will take you through farmed land, grazing fields, chestnut groves, woods and forests. The Quinta D'Alagoa suggests mountain bike outings, within and beyond the farm, visiting villages and national heritage monuments.
ROOMS & SUITES

RUSTIC COMFORTS
The old farmhouse, labourers lodgings, barn and other outhouses have been restored and adapted for agrotourism. The farm is a member of TER (Tourismo no Espaço Rural – Rural Tourism Association).
DEFINITION OF COZY
At the heart of this vast estate are the farm buildings. They have been proposed as Listed Buildings, in recognition of their historic and cultural value.
UNBELIEVABLE BEAUTY
We recommend the towns of Chaves and Mirandela for their excellent historic value. Chaves has long been known for its castle as well as its water spa. As a border town, it has brewed an interesting mix of Portuguese and Galicean (Spain) culture over the centuries. Mirandela became famous for its many public gardens, interspersed with historic buildings.
LOT TO EXPLORE
The Quinta D'Alagoa is just 20 minutes away from the spas of Vidago, in Portugal, and Verin, just across the border in Spain. It is also about 40 minutes away from 3 important Nature Reserve Parks – Parque Natural do Montesinho, Parque Natural da Peneda-Gerês and Parque Natural do Alvão.
